Suffice to say the site I yanked this photo from opened up about 15 pop-up windows that were all for porn and the author’s comment was “I’ve never seen this chick act or perform but damn she has certainly caught my eye with her style. I dig chicks with big mouths too.” Well then.

Outfit Check: Annalynne McCord at TI’s Sirens Show

Apparently Treasure Island (TI) casino in Vegas is changing its pirate show to something involving scantily clad ladies who sing, or something. And Annalynne McCord showed up to this event to model her new line of Slutty Halloween Costumes for ladies who find the traditional slutty Halloween costumes just too modest and prudish. I don’t really have anything else to say about this, mainly because I’m afraid to look at it too long lest my eyes burn out.

Overall: PLEASE MAKE IT STOP.

Outfit check: Annalynne McCord at Hollywood Style Awards

Blah, blah blah. Here’s Annalynne McCord on the red carpet for the Hollywood Style Awards, whatever those may be. I am so bored by this outfit that I can barely be bothered to discuss it.

• I’ve gone on record as preferring the curly hair. This loose blow-out is better than the pin-straight look she sometimes rocks, and waaay preferable to slicking all the hair back. But I still think it’s less flattering than the curls and frankly, without the curls she blends into the haze of blonde-ish starlet-ish ladies roaming the streets of Hollywood. The curls give her distinction and personality. GET WITH IT.
• Oh, a little black dress! How innovative and interesting! Nice architectural details in the pleating on the bodice, but boring boring boring.
• Nice shoes – note how the flesh toned shoes lengthen her legs and make her look super long and lean.

Overall: B for BORING.

Outfit check: Annalynne McCord at Spike TV Scream Awards

Apparently Annalynne McCord was in some remake of some horror movie about which I frankly do not care. (Horror movies are not for me, especially the current ones which are more like gore-porn than any suspense or drama.)

• I think her hair looks fabulous. She just doesn’t look like herself when it’s all blown out straight or slicked back. Here, it looks natural and soft and gorgeous. Well done, stylist.
• I assume she’s looking a bit gothy because of the event – it makes sense to dress witchy to go to a horror movie event. For that reason, I’ll let go the drippy black necklace + black dress + black nails + black shoes. I think it looks a bit halloween-y, especially because some trick of this photo makes it seem like she’s baring her fangs. (Hint to writers: having Naomi be a secret vampire would really liven up the show…)
• I do not understand the dress on a fundamental level. It looks shiny, as if it’s made of plastic trash bags (remember that Project Runway where the lady bought all the trash bags to make pants out of? these are higher quality trash bags but still BAGS for TRASH.) It might be a netting kind of thing with something under it, but I’m not understanding it and frankly I am really not liking it that much.

Overall: C for love the curls, hate the outfit.

Outfit check: Annalynne McCord at Target Event

Again, Annalynne McCord looks fantastic – in sharp contrast to pretty much every single on-screen outfit and hairstyle she’s had while on 90210. Which again raises the question of who she pissed off in wardrobe and hair for them to abuse her so badly. Look how great her hair looks when it’s all natural and not crispy and crunchy with way too much product! Why cannot this look be replicated while shooting!!

• Cropped jacket with gold military buttons is very very on trend and looks great.
• Love the color and drapey-ness of the green silk blouse underneath.
• Wide legged brown pants, again very on trend, makes her look tall, her legs look miles long, and her waist look tiny.

Overall: A for Apologize already so the show can present you as the beautiful girl you are!

Outfit Check: Annalynne McCord is tippy

Annalynne McCord was photographed on the 90210 set clutching her assistant for help balancing. Some sites are saying she’s too skinny and was swooning, but I think anyone would need to clutch something when trying to walk in those killer heels.

• The dress is pretty – simple, flattering, looks young enough for a high school student to wear. Wouldn’t advocate it for a night out at a club, too many ruffles around the neckline.
• Hate the necklace.
• Terrified of the shoes, although they are definitely fierce.
• Her hair looks gorgeous. Not blown out too straight, not too frizzy or crunchy. Gorgeous curls.

90210 v Gossip Girl

Annalynne McCord spoke out on the comparisons between 90210 and GG:

AnnaLynne McCord, also addressed rumors of a clothing war between 90210 and Gossip Girl.
“We beat the makeup by far, I’ll tell ya that! But oh my god, Leighton [Meester] – I love her. She rocks that show.”

Oh DEAR. First of all, there’s no clothing war. That would not be a David & Goliath matchup, that would be the Mount Everest of Gossip Girl crushing the tiny ant that is 90210. Gossip Girl is fashion. 90210 is cheap shit teenage girls buy in the mall with their allowance money.

Second, let’s see why Leighton rocks so hard on that show. She’s an amazing actress, yes. But Blair’s character rocks that show and Blair rocks New York City. Why? Because she is an evil scheming bitch. She knows what she wants and she will stop at absolutely nothing to get it, no matter who or what is in her way. You know who is not at all like that in any way? Naomi. She’s friendly to crying Annie and hurts on her inside because of her family. That is not evil. That is not scheming. That is not bitchy. GET ON IT.

Cast out and about in LA

Via Defamer, who has this news because when people see the 90210 cast out in the world they email Defamer and not me, here’s two reports of cast sightings:

Sunday, Sept. 14: Saw that guy who plays Ethan (DUSTIN MILLIGAN) and that girl who plays Silver (JESSICA STROUP) on the new version of 90210 having lunch together at Mani’s on Fairfax. In this case, lunch meaning that he was eating while she watched.

Monday, Sept 15: Saw the new Brenda (SHENAE GRIMES) and Naomi (ANNALYNNE MCCORD, who incidentally makes me ache for Tori’s acting chops) last night at the Belmont. New Brenda is as shockingly adorable in person as on TV but was completely sans trademark smile and actually appeared pouty and pissed at times. She and the even-less-beautiful-in-person Naomi (the new Emily Valentine?), who has overgelled 90’s hair and is clearly skinnier than her own body type would prefer, were feverishly chain smoking. They were also HARDcore flirting with their waiter, the only guy there more interested in them than the cowboys and eagles. Between packs of cigarettes the girls were, yep, drinking. I’ll save you the trouble of looking it up: New Brenda’s only 18. Oooooo! I hope new Jim and Aunt Becky don’t find out, new 90210 is boring enough without old 90210’s lesson-learned moralizing.

Outfit check: Annalynne McCord at Madden NFL party

Here’s Annalynne going to a party for the EA Madden NFL video game, or something. It was taken in August 08. This picture convinces me that Annalynne must have done something really bad to piss off the styling people on the show, or her stylist in real life, or both, because at the end of the day, she is a gorgeous girl and her hair is beautiful. However, there are about a billion ways in which she can be made to look cheap, tarty, and ill-styled.

• Green jersey tube dress – looks amazing. makes her look tall and svelte but not skeletal. It’s a great bold color and she looks great in it. I see you, super long leg!
• Grey leather wide belt. Obi-style belts are way trendy right now and this is a great use of one. I might have trimmed the extra leather straps flapping around on the buckle, but it’s an unexpected color to pair with the green, really gives her a shape, and makes her boobs look huge.
• Cute gold sandals! Stylish and sophisticated without being tarty.
• Her hair looks amazing! I like it curly like this, instead of blown out so straight she’s unrecognizable. Also instead of what they do to her on the show, crispy and poufy.

Overall: A, and apologize to whoever you need to so you can look like this on the show.

Outfit check: Annalynne McCord at Emmy suite

Did you have any idea that Annalynne was this gorgeous? You certainly wouldn’t know it from the way the show dresses her, or from those last few red carpet appearances with the straight hair and weird black dresses. Her pose is a little weird, yes, but she’s in a Nine West gift suite for the Emmys trying on shoes and modelling them, so I’ll give her a pass on that (especially because she probably got some free boots for doing this).

• First, her hair and face look nothing short of amazing. She’s got the cheekbones to look like a young Michelle Pfeiffer.
• Black lace top – modern, flattering, not a bustier made of denim with shoelace corseting.
• Skinny black pants that make her legs look about a million years long, especially when paired with the black patent leather stiletto boots. (I am not as fond of the fringe ones but assume that those are the ones she’s trying on.)

Overall: A+.
